The 16km Shivpuri to NIM Beach stretch is the most popular rafting stretch in Rishikesh. It covers 7 to 8 rapids and gives you the full Rishikesh rafting experience without being too short or too intense. It is the stretch most people book when they visit Rishikesh for river rafting.

A safety kayak is a small, agile kayak paddled by a trained rescue expert that follows the raft throughout the entire journey. It is positioned to respond immediately if anyone falls off the raft during a rapid. The safety kayak can reach a person in the water far faster than the raft itself, making it a critical part of river safety. Yes, a safety kayak is provided and accompanies every raft on all stretches at no extra charge.

Yes. All rafts are accompanied by certified and experienced river guides throughout the journey. A dedicated safety kayak accompanies every raft on the water. Life jackets and helmets are provided and mandatory for all participants. A safety briefing is conducted before every session. Minimum age is 14 years for the 12km stretch, 16 years for the 16km stretch, and 18 years for the 24km and 36km stretches. Maximum weight is 110 kg per person across all stretches. Participants should not have any serious medical conditions.

Video and photography are available at additional charges. The guide can charge a maximum of Rs. 2,000 for photos and videos divided equally among all 8 people on the raft. Drone and DSLR video is also available at Rs. 6,000 divided among 8 people. These are optional add-ons and not included in the base booking price.

Each raft accommodates a total of 8 participants across all stretches.

Yes. Transportation from our Tapovan office is included in all rafting bookings. We pick you up and take you to the rafting starting point. The office is located opposite Lemon Tree and Burger King, Tapovan, Rishikesh.

Reach our Tapovan office at least 15 minutes before your scheduled slot. This gives you time to complete documentation, collect your safety equipment, and attend the pre-rafting briefing without any rush. Late arrivals may miss their slot.

Wear clothes you don't mind getting wet. Shorts and a t-shirt work best. Wear secure footwear like sports sandals or old sneakers that can get wet. Avoid loose jewellery, valuables, and open-pocket items. Sunscreen is recommended. Leave your phone and camera in a waterproof bag or with someone on shore unless you have opted for the video package.

The best time for river rafting in Rishikesh is October to June. October to February offers cool weather and clear water. March to June is warm and ideal for a refreshing river experience. Rafting is suspended or restricted during the monsoon season (July to September) due to high water levels and safety concerns. Always confirm availability before booking during this period.
